Balanced Self believe that CBT and yoga are complimentary therapies and when used together allow the busy modern day mind to connect back to the body, emotions and the here and now.

CBT skills are integrated into every group yoga class, offering a unique yoga experience like no other.

Every Thursday

Flow, restore and CBT

Thursday Morning - 11.30-12.30am 

This class is the right balance of yang, yin and CBT.

First we gently flow to create some heat before winding down to activate the parasympathetic nervous system which is responsible for restoring the body on a physiological level. CBT skills and Mindfulness components will be used throughout the class to connect you with your thoughts, body and emotions.

You will leave feeling invigorated and refreshed all at the same time and will come away with some every day tools for your toolbox to manage your stress levels.

Beginners to advanced students welcomed.

Restorative Yoga and CBT

Thursday Evening - 6.00-7.00pm 

This class is perfect for those wishing to reconnect to their body and breath to reduce stress. This class is different to other restorative yoga practices as it allows the body to enter a deep state of relaxation by incorporating CBT skills such as progressive muscle relaxation, aspects of Mindfulness and imagery work will be incorporated into the class, as well as breath work. This class will consist of a series of up to five postures that are held for a long period of time to help repair and rejuvenate the entire system. Beginners to advanced students welcomed.
